The Ito Patel Family STEM Scholarship
Mr. Ito and Ms. Patel both work in the technology industry. Mr. David Ito graduated from Hudson High School in 1984 and serves on the Hudson Booster Club Board. Ms. Patel is actively involved in advancing Youth and Women in STEM. Both spend their extra curricular time by reading, fitness, and community service. Mr Ito’s mother, June Ito worked in the Hudson Middle school library for many years and volunteered at the Hudson High School Library.
CRITERIA

Graduate from Hudson High School or Western Reserve Academy in 2023
-
Pursuing a 4-year college degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

Demonstrates Courage, Temperance, Justice and Wisdom (Stoicism)
ESSAY REQUIREMENTS

Essay will be evaluated based on your ability to specifically communicate how you meet the criteria of the scholarship.

DO NOT include your name, the name of any family member, or any other identifying information on or in your essay, as essays are considered by evaluators without knowledge of applicant’s identity

Essay must be typed, double-spaced and have a minimum of 250 words.

Please read and follow the instructions in this scholarship application form. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of your application; no exceptions will be granted. Please submit your online application no later than 3:00 p.m. on March 22, 2023.
Hudson Community First scholarship recipients will be notified by email no later than May 1.
