The annual "Power Down" activity sponsored by Community First in conjunction with the Hudson City School District, Western Reserve Academy, Hudson Montessori School, Seton Catholic, HCER and over 30 youth-related Hudson organizations. Ready-Set-Relax stresses no homework and no after school activities promoting the opportunity to spend more time with your family for one night during the school year. NEW FOR THIS YEAR – Community First recognizes the difficulty for families to communicate with one another because of all of the electronic devices overtaking our lives. This year we are encouraging parents and students to turn off the TV, cell phone, computer and video games from 6-8pm. Let’s POWER DOWN on November 1st! This activity speaks to the importance of the 40 developmental assets and focuses on strengthening family relationships. Ready-Set-Relax gives families a ‘break’ from the hectic after school activity pace. Now in its 6th year, this annual activity is supported by the Hudson school board, mayor For more information or to endorse Ready-Set-Relax, contact: Laura Zaleski Cathy Lightner |
