Take a Second. Make a Difference. Month – October 2011:  Smile Day: October 7th, posters and stickers.

  • CF will provide TSMD nomination forms
  • 10 TSMD car clings for asset-asset team distribution to staff

 

TSMD Recognition Luncheon: asset team from each school will nominate one staff member from their school to receive award at October luncheon: nominations are due Oct. 10th.  For a copy of the TSMD Nomination form click on the link below.

Teacher/Staff Asset Grants: In January teachers/staff can apply for $250 Grant for asset development ideas.

A Buck for Ubumi: To educate about, connect with and and give to Hudson’s Orphanage in Africa, Jan. 10th-14th.

Weekly asset on district website: Part of the districts Heath and Wellness Committee initiative.

Student Showcase: HHS and WRA youth boards recognize peer who works on developing assets in him/her self and others.

Career Panel / Intern for a Day: goal for the 2011-2012 school year: continue to build developmental assets in Hudson Youth by providing two Career Panel presentations to educate students and parents about diverse career opportunities and to give students the opportunity to Intern for a Day with participating businesses.  The Ocobter Panel was a big success.

What Sparks your Interest??  Wednesday, January 25, 2012 • Western Reserve Academy The Chapel • 7:30 p.m.  Presenters include:  Dr. Jay Carter, MSEE, MD, FACEP, Emergency Medicine;   Gretchen Greissing, Director of Major Gifts, NorthCoast Community HomesJan Gusich, Akhia Public Relations, Marketing & Advertising;   Jon Heaton, Sports Agent, Vice President, IMG GolfRick Schultz, Author, Inventor & Lecturer, President & CEO, Spectrum Surgical Instuments Corp.;  Kelsey Hawke, Informations Technology, Research & Customer Experience Analyst, Metrics Marketing Group.

Ready-Set-Relax: Goal for the 2011-2012 school year: continue to build developmental assets in Hudson Youth by providing an evening in which the entire community joins together to address the problem of the over scheduling of youth by canceling all homework and after school activities.  Students are encouraged to turn off cell phones, TVs, video games and computers and enjoy some unscheduled time with their families.  Remember to "Power Down" on November 1st!

Hudson Cares about Kids: Goal for the 2011-2012 school year: continue to build developmental assets in Hudson Youth by developing self-esteem programming throughout multiple grade levels.
